# Managing Your Banks, Payroll & Credit

> How to view, fix, and manage your linked account connections.

The **Banks, payroll & credit** screen is where you see all your linked institutions, check their status, and fix any issues.

## Where to find it

Open [Banks, payroll & credit](https://app.checkrmoney.com/data/connections) - it's in the sidebar on desktop web, and under **Settings** on a phone and on iOS.

## What you'll see

Each active connection shows the institution name and logo, the number of linked accounts, the last sync time, and a status badge.

### Connection status badges

* **Connected** - everything is working and data is up to date
* **Syncing...** / **Logging in...** / **Created** - data is being pulled or the connection is still finishing setup; nothing for you to do
* **Awaiting MFA** - your bank wants a verification code. Tap the connection to provide it.
* **Login failed**, **Auth failed**, **Session expired**, **Account locked**, or **Error** - the connection needs your attention. Use the Fix flow below.
* **No data** - the connection was made but no account data came back. Check that your account at the institution has the expected information.
* **Unavailable** / **Not supported** - a temporary issue at the institution's side. Usually resolves on its own.
* **Disconnected** - the connection has been removed (or the link needs a manual reconnection). Relink it to restore data.
* **Setup not finished** - you started linking an institution but never completed it. Nothing failed - select **Finish setup** to pick up where you left off.

<Tip>On iOS, **Setup not finished** is available in 1.10 and later. Before 1.10, an unfinished link showed as a failed connection.</Tip>

## Fixing connections that need attention

A connection that signing in again can repair shows a **Fix** action. It relaunches the secure widget so you can sign in to your institution again.

<Note>On the web, **Fix** appears only where signing in again can repair the connection, so some connections that need attention show no Fix there.</Note>

<Note>On iOS, when more than one connection needs attention, a **Fix connections** prompt walks you through them one at a time and confirms with **All done!** when everything has been addressed.</Note>

<Note>On iOS 1.10 and later, the banner warning you that a connection needs attention carries a close button. Closing it hides the banner for the rest of the session. It returns the next time you open the app while the connection is still broken.</Note>

For step-by-step instructions, see [Reconnecting an Account](/accounts/reconnecting-accounts).

## Syncing your data

Most data syncs automatically in the background. To force a manual sync:

<Note>
  **On the web** - a bank connection shows a **Reconnect** button once its data is no longer fresh. To sync every bank connection at once, use **Sync All**. Payroll has no manual refresh.

  **On iOS** - pull down on the screen to refresh what it shows.
</Note>

See [Refreshing Your Account Data](/accounts/refreshing-account-data) for what gets refreshed and how often.

## Adding a new connection

See [How to Link Your Financial Accounts](/accounts/linking-financial-accounts).

## Disconnecting an institution

See [How to Remove an Account](/accounts/removing-an-account).

<Tip>If a connection keeps breaking, try disconnecting and relinking it. Some institutions periodically require a fresh sign-in.</Tip>
