# Viewing Your Transactions

> Browse and review every transaction from your connected accounts in one place.

Checkr Money pulls in transactions from all your connected accounts, giving you a unified view of every purchase, payment, and transfer.

## Where to find your transactions

<Note>
On the web, open [Transactions](https://app.checkrmoney.com/data/transactions) from the sidebar, or from **More** on a phone. On iOS, open [Transactions](https://app.checkrmoney.com/data/transactions) on the **Home** tab, in the row of pages across the top.

On iOS the most recent transactions also appear on **Summary**; tap "View all" to jump into the full list.
</Note>

## Transaction details

Tap (or click) any transaction to open its detail view:

* **Merchant name** - where the transaction happened
* **Amount** - signed; income shows in green
* **Date** - posted date (and time when reported by the institution)
* **Status** - Pending or Posted (see [Understanding Transaction Status](/transactions/understanding-transaction-status))
* **Category** - the spending category Checkr Money assigned
* **Account** - which connected account it belongs to. On iOS, tap it to open that account (Checkr Money iOS 1.9 and later)
* **Memo** - any note the institution provided, if any
* **Note** - your own note on the transaction. Tap **Add note** to write one, up to 1,000 characters; open it again and clear the field to remove it. Your note is kept when you restore bank defaults.
* **Transaction history** - other recent transactions from the same merchant

<Tip>Notes are available on the web, and in Checkr Money iOS 1.9 and later.</Tip>

## Transaction actions

<Note>These per-transaction actions are available on the web. On iOS (Checkr Money iOS 1.6 and later) you can also recategorize, add [custom category names](/transactions/custom-category-names), rename a merchant, and hide from totals from the detail screen.</Note>

<Note>**Hiding is the only way to take a transaction out of your totals** on the web and in Checkr Money iOS 1.8 and later - there is no delete option. On iOS 1.6 and 1.7 a Delete entry is still in the menu until you update; see [Deleting a Transaction](/transactions/deleting-and-restoring-a-transaction) for why it went away and what to do instead.</Note>

On the web, open a transaction, then use its menu:

* **Change category** - pick a new category from a searchable list. Apply the change to just that transaction, or to every transaction from the same merchant - past and future.
* **Rename** - give the transaction a cleaner name, or apply the new name to every transaction from the same merchant. The bank's original name stays visible as secondary text.
* **Mark as hidden** - exclude a transaction from your spending summaries. An Undo option appears in the toast for a few seconds. For a transaction you have already hidden, the menu item changes to **Unhide** so you can put it back; see [Viewing and restoring hidden transactions](/transactions/filtering-your-transactions#viewing-and-restoring-hidden-transactions) for the full flow.
* **Restore bank defaults** - undo all your customizations (category, name, or visibility) and revert to the bank's original values, for just that transaction or for all transactions from the same merchant.

<Note>**Restore bank defaults** can only undo the merchant in bulk if you originally applied your change to **All \[merchant]** (a merchant-wide rule). If you instead customized several transactions of the same merchant one at a time using **Only this transaction**, each row has to be restored individually - the bulk option doesn't sweep up those one-off edits.</Note>

<Note>Fields you have customized show a **Custom** badge next to them in the detail view. A **Hidden from totals** badge appears below the amount for any transaction you have hidden. Both make it easy to see what you have changed versus what your bank reported.</Note>

## Transaction list features

* Transactions are grouped by date by default (newest first)
* Pending transactions are marked with a **Pending** badge
* Income (credits) is visually distinguished from expenses (debits)
* Both platforms support grouping by time period or by merchant - see [Grouping Transactions](/transactions/grouping-transactions)
* Recurring transactions and internal transfers carry a small badge on the merchant logo, whether you flagged one yourself or Checkr Money detected it - see [Understanding Transaction Status](/transactions/understanding-transaction-status#recurring-and-internal-transfer-badges)
* On iOS 1.10 and later, a monthly report card sits between months in the list, summarizing the month that just ended

## Transactions to review

<Tip>Available on the web, and in Checkr Money iOS 1.10 and later.</Tip>

When Checkr Money can't confidently categorize a transaction, it waits for you in a **To Review** deck on the **Home** tab. Swipe through the cards, and tap one to open a review sheet where you confirm or change the category. **Save & See next** saves your answer and moves on to the next card. After the last card, the deck tells you you're all caught up.

On the web, the same transactions wait in a **To Review** row on **Home**. Click a card to open the review sheet, confirm or change the category, and use the arrows to move between transactions. To see the whole queue as a list, open [Transactions](https://app.checkrmoney.com/data/transactions), open **Filters** and turn on **Needs review**; each of those transactions carries a **To review** badge. Once you've answered every transaction, the row reads **All caught up**.

<Tip>On iOS, pull down on the transaction list to refresh. On the web, the list refreshes when you reload the page or change filters or pagination; use the **Banks, payroll & credit** page if you need to pull fresh data from your institution.</Tip>
